What wind velocity is indicated?
Refer to figure.
The MAP (or ARC) mode of the ND usually displays information such as the selected and current track (or heading), the TAS and GS, the wind direction and speed, next waypoint distance, and weather radar information.
In order to figure out wind direction, you need to carefully analyze the W/V information at the bottom left-hand corner. Imagine a compass rose with the current track at the bottom, 073°M in our case, and superimpose it over the W/V symbol. You can see that the arrow is coming from approximately 105°M, therefore the wind is blowing from this same direction. The wind speed is indicated just below the arrow (20 kt).
