Mass: 1800 lb
Pressure altitude: 9000 ft

To determine the Rate of Climb, proceed with the following manner:

  • Enter with the Pressure altitude of 9000 ft from the left.
  • Move horizontally to the right to intersect the Gross mass 1800 lb (in the middle of 1700 lb and 1900 lb mass lines).
  • Continue vertically down and read the Rate of Climb: 600 ft/min.

NOTE:

The rate of climb is a vertical line, thus constant, for each mass up to the engine critical altitude 4200 ft.
