Refer to figures.
Maximum allowed Take-off Mass limit: 37 200 kg
Dry Operating Mass: 21 600 kg
Take-off fuel: 8 500 kg
Baggage: 880 kg
Passengers: 33 male, 32 female, 5 children

The company uses the standard passenger mass systems (see annex) allowed by regulations. The flight is not a holiday charter. In these conditions, the maximum cargo that may be loaded is:

  • A
    901 kg
  • B
    585 kg
  • C
    1 105 kg
  • D
    1 098 kg

To know the maximum cargo that may be loaded:
We deduct all masses from the maximum allowable takeoff mass

Written in the attachment that standard passenger mass is 84 kg, and as general rule for children we always take mass of 35 kg.
Total adult passenger: 65
Total children: 5
(baggage is given in the question so no need to calculate passenger babggage from data given in the attachment)

Passengers mass = 65 x 84 + 5 x 35 = 5635 kg

Maximum cargo = 37200 — [21600 +8500 + 5635 + 880} = 585 kg
